As per the recent rankings of the 400 worlds best universities declared by US News on 25th February 2010. Only six Indian universities and 1 Pakistani Universities are in the ranks. It is very unfortunate that not a single university of India is in top 150 Universities of the world.HRD ministry should take serious steps to upgrade the academic standards of Indian universities to make them World Class. So it may face the future challenges posed by the Economic Globalization.
